1Respecting your privacyTL;DR: We limit how personal information is used and do not sell or rent it.
Respecting your privacy is important to us; we are committed to safeguarding your privacy online and in the clinic. We have posted this privacy policy to help you understand how your personal information will be treated when you use our services. This policy may change from time to time, so please check back periodically.
Information collected via our website and health history forms is limited to what we need to provide you with the best possible service available anywhere. It will not be sold, or rented to any individual, group, corporation or agency. Release of your information occurs only when we have your consent; or when it is required to deliver a requested service to you; or where we are required or permitted to do so by law.
2Information automatically collectedTL;DR: Basic technical request information helps operate, secure and improve the website.
Like other websites, this one automatically processes technical request information such as your Internet address, the date and time of a request, and the page requested. This information is used to deliver, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website.
Google Analytics is treated separately from the technical information required to deliver the website. The analytics practices and available opt-out are described below.
3Email address and contact informationTL;DR: Contact details are used to answer you and support services you request.
When you send an e-mail or when you request an appointment with us, we acquire your email address. We use your email address to acknowledge your appointment request and/or reply to your questions, and we may store your communication and our reply in order to provide you with a high level of client support.
We may also use contact information collected on this website to contact and correspond with you regarding the services that you requested and other related services we may offer.
Please provide only the information needed for the clinic to respond. Do not submit detailed personal health information through a general website contact channel.
4Booking servicesTL;DR: Booking information is collected only as needed to arrange and provide services.
When you book appointments through our website, we collect and store information about you necessary to complete your booking and to ultimately provide you with the requested services.
5Health history formsTL;DR: Clinical records are protected with physical and secure online safeguards.
We collect and store personal information in a locked filing cabinet and only Melanie McIvor and Jenna McGlynn have the keys to this filing cabinet. We have upgraded our system and now store any new Health History forms and client notes in a secure online system that only Melanie and Jenna have access to.
We protect your information with appropriate safeguards and security measures and retain your information only for the time it is required for the stated purposes. Only those involved in processing data have access to this information.
6Website analyticsTL;DR: Google Analytics measures general site use by default and provides a persistent opt-out.
This website uses Google Analytics to understand general page use, improve the site, and count selected interactions such as a click that opens the external Jane booking service. Google receives query-free page paths, controlled event names and booking-source categories, browser and device information, approximate location, and a first-party browser identifier used to distinguish visits and sessions. The website does not send query strings, destination URLs, contact-form contents, appointment or booking details, treatment or health information, names, email addresses, phone numbers, or site-assigned user identifiers to Google Analytics.
Google Signals may add broad demographic, interest, and cross-device trends from eligible people who are signed in to Google and have enabled Ads Personalization in their Google account. Islington Wellness receives aggregated, thresholded reporting rather than individual identities or profiles. The clinic does not use its Analytics data for remarketing or personalized advertising.
Analytics operates by default when it is enabled on the production website. A non-blocking notice explains the practice, and you may turn analytics off without losing access to the website. Essential delivery, security, fraud-prevention and diagnostic processing continues because it is required to operate the website.
Your analytics preference is stored in your browser. You can reopen Privacy choices from the footer at any time. Turning analytics off stops future Google Analytics measurement in that browser and removes the Google Analytics cookies the website can access; turning it on restores measurement.
7Contact form securityTL;DR: Google reCAPTCHA is invoked only when the protected contact form is submitted.
When reCAPTCHA is configured, submitting the contact form loads Google reCAPTCHA for abuse prevention. The short-lived verification token and request IP address are sent to Google so the server can distinguish likely automated submissions from genuine inquiries.
The form is intended for short, general inquiries. Please do not include detailed personal health information; a therapist can arrange a suitable private channel if needed.
8Questions and privacy choicesTL;DR: You can contact the clinic with questions and change analytics choices.
If you have questions about website privacy or wish to follow up on information you submitted, use the contact link below.
If analytics is available, use Privacy choices in the footer to review or change your browser’s saved choice.
